At the beginning of the year we start looking for new casual staff to become part of our team.  During the busier times, at weekends, half terms and the summer months. Job opportunities will be available for assistant positions both in the cafe and on the farm. 

Throughout the year we may also have vacancies for permanent job positions.

Weekend Equine Assistant

We currently have a position for an equine assistant to work Saturdays and Sundays, with a possibility of working extra days during the week. (Extra days will be required during half terms).

The position involves: running our pony club, pony rides and pony parties.  Under the supervision of the Farm Manager. 

You will also be expected to assist with feeding, exercising and the general care required to look after our many ponies and donkeys.

Requirements for position:

Must be aged 18 or over,

Hold a BHSAI qualification or equivalent,

Have own transport or reliable transport arrangements due to location of farm.

Casual Farm Assistant

We are now recruiting for new casual staff to assist the current farm team in our busier times. Staff will be required to work weekends, half terms and summer holidays. There may also be extra hours during the week in term time.

This position involves assisting with daily duties on the farm.  This involves: supervising the daily activities, assisting with birthday parties, group and school tours. You will also be expected to assist in the setup and closing down of the play area plus any general cleaning duties required.

As a casual farm assistant you will be involved in the basic care of some of our animals ie. feeding and cleaning. Although this position does have some animal involvement please be aware the position is mainly assisting our public activities.

Must be aged 16 or over,

Be friendly, polite and have confidence dealing with the public, 

Have own transport or reliable transport arrangements due to location of farm.

Casual Cafe Assistant

We are now recruiting for new casual staff to assist the current cafe team in our busier times. Staff would be required to work weekends, half terms and summer holidays. There may also be extra hours during the week in term times.

The cafe is where our visitors pay admission for entrance into the farm. Our cafe serves hot and cold food and drinks.  We also have a small gift shop within the cafe.  Your position will be to assist with daily duties in the cafe.  it is mainly a customer services role and involves: taking admission to the farm, orders and payments for food and drinks. You will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of our kitchen and cafe, keeping up to our high health and saftey standards. Other duties would include serving food, assisting with birthday parties, and helping the public with enquiries.
