We now have seven ponies at Blackberry Farm. 

Pedro is our Gypsy Vanner and Theo our New Forest Pony.  They stand at 13.2hands and are more suitable for our older riders.  Bonnie is 11.2hands and is ideal for younger children.  For our very little visitors we have Bam Bam and Bailey our cuddly Shetlands. 

All of our ponies are extremely friendly and love being ridden by our visitors.

Pony Rides:  Why not hop into the saddle and learn some great horse riding tips, during one of our daily sessions.  

Pony rides are £2.00 per child and may be purchased at the admissions kiosk or in the Garden Barn Cafe!  Our booking system gives you an allocated slot, so you don't have to queue! 

In addition to pony rides.  Sometimes we bring out Minnie and Rose our gorgeous Donkeys for those who fancy something a little different.

Pony club:  For those who are very keen to learn more about Ponies, basic horsemanship and pony care.  We now offer an inexpensive introduction to these skills, at our Pony club.  

Pony club is run in a 5 week block of 2 hour sessions. 

We have a Saturday beginners session and a Sunday advanced session both timed at 10.00-12.00.

These times may vary with seasonal hours of daylight. 

A five week course is charged at £50.00.

Pony Owner Days:  Would you like to own your own pony??  At the farm we offer the opportunity for you to be a pony owner for one day.  We will teach you all about your pony, how to groom, it,  tack up, about the equipment you will be using and, of course, there will be an opportunity for you to enjoy a fun and informative riding session.  This fun filled opportunity is a real treat and would be ideal for for any special occassion.

Pony owner days are charged at £70.00.  This includes lunch from our cafe menu.
